Mount Martha is one of the Mornington Peninsula’s most loved villages with exceptional panoramic scenes stretching for miles along the Port Phillip Bay coastline.
It’s well earned reputation as a family seaside resort and its history of hospitality dates back to when visitors from Melbourne made the long journey by horse and carriage or paddle steamer. Modes of transport may have changed dramatically, but Mount Martha has kept its simplicity whilst remaining hospitable and sophisticated.
Mount Martha village has a number of restaurants, bistros and cafes to entice even the most discerning of food critiques! Many of the local vineyards supply their internationally accredited wines, which compliment the fresh fish, cheeses and other produce supplied from the environs.
The surrounding areas offer a huge range of activities, interests and sights in which to indulge. Red Hill is well known for an extensive collection of art galleries and vineyard restaurants; Flinders and the neighbouring back beaches are ideal for keen surfers, and if you relish soaking in the views, Mount Martha has its own boardwalk which takes you to the heritage site of ‘The Briars’.
